Eleanor began singing at the age of five, in the award-winning Haddo Junior Choirs. Always a keen perfomer, she was soon regularly appearing on the stage at Haddo House, playing roles such as Maria in West Side Story, Yum-Yum in Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado and Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady. At 17, after she completed her schooling, she auditioned at the Royal College of Music, and was offered a place in December 2005. She was awarded a Van der Beugel scholarship from the college to continue her studies there on the postgraduate course, after graduating with First Class Honours in July 2009. In September, she commenced her studies at the Royal College of Music International Opera School as the Catto Sievewright Charitable Trust scholar.

She is generously supported by a Sybil Tutton award (administered by the Musician's Benevolent Fund), the Countess of Munster Musical Trust (also being a participant of their Recital Scheme), a Sir James Caird Travelling Scholarship, and is this year's recipient of the RCM's Earl of Dalhousie Award.

Roles have included the title role in Handel's 'Rodelinda' (London Handel Festival), 'Amarilli' in Handel's Il Pastor Fido (London Handel Festival), 'Romilda' in Handel's Xerxes (English Touring Opera), 'Fiordiligi' in Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte (RCMIOS), 'Countess Almaviva' in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro (Brtitish Youth Opera), 'Daphne' in Stephen Oliver's Euridice (BYO), 'Diana' in Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld (RCMIOS), 'Governess' in Britten's Turn of the Screw, and 'Donna Elvira in Mozart's Don Giovanni (RCM Opera Scenes).

Externally,  she has recently given her debut recital, in conjunction with the Countess of Munster Recital Scheme,  at the Wigmore Hall with pianist Gary Matthewman. She has also performed as a soloist with The Classical Opera Company, in their recent performance of Handel's Dixit Dominus, at King's Place, London, and with The Floriliegium at St.John's, Smith Square, under the baton of Ashley Soloman. She has also performed works such as Haydn's Nelson Mass, Handel's Messiah, Bach's Magnificat, Ascension Oratorio and Cantata 21, Poulenc's Gloria, Vivaldi's Gloria and Mozart's Coronation Mass.

She has been recorded by Opera Rara, and has sung vocals on a Gucci advertising campaign.

She is also a frequent performer in her native Aberdeenshire, performing regularly with Haddo House Choral & Operatic Society in their annual concerts.
